Karen Statner
The Somatic Habit founder

Karen is on a mission to bring pain-free somatic living to 100,000 people by 2030!

With her signature programme, the "natural movement method" she demystifies chronic physical pain & stiffness so you understand the root cause.

Through a combination of movement & discussion she teaches the 3 stages of how to restore long-term joyful movement & sense of being, regardless of age, start point or lifestyle.

A guiding principle in Karen's life is her desire to live with autonomy and freedom and this belief drives her passion for and joy in guiding and supporting others to create the same.

She believes that beneath our layers of conditioning and life experiences we are all connected and are all the same at our core. She believes we all have the ability to live with joy and ease, we just need to remember how.

From the UK, Karen has 25+ years experience of supporting & guiding others to create more space & freedom from within.

She started at 22 working in psychiatric hospitals & spent 18 years in the Criminal Justice System as a Probation Office.

Karen's passion is supporting people to transform, from feeling stuck (physically, emotionally, psychologically) to restoring autonomy & remembering the essence of who we are; a continual process she embodies and explores for herself.

Her approach is underpinned by a deep compassion for & understanding of our human experience, how we function & what it truly takes & means to be free. She's supported 1000s of people in her roles & run countless workshops & training events.

As well as teaching and training others she's author of the book Somatic Movement: Restoring Functional, pain-free movement & moving towards connection & wholeness, and is an invited podcast guest speaker.
